While it may be assumed that questionable activities occur within the lodge, our primary commitment is to serving the community. With this mission in mind, Fate Masonic lodge continues the nonending quest of helping our community.
Although Freemasonry is occasionally regarded as a secretive society, our organization is fundamentally dedicated to community service. Our commitment to improving our communities extends far beyond what occurs within the lodge. For centuries, Freemasons have made significant contributions to society in many ways. As a recognized 501(c)(3) organization, Fate Masonic Lodge provides charitable support to the communities of Fate and Royse City.
Fate Masonic Lodge actively supports the community through several initiatives:
- Fantastic Teeth: This program involves assembling dental hygiene kits for elementary school children. Each year, we prepare kits for students in the Royse City ISD and distribute them to each school via the school nurse.
- Senior High School Scholarships: In alignment with our fellow lodges, Fate Masonic Lodge conducts fundraising activities to provide scholarship funds for high school students. These scholarships help offset tuition costs and, in certain cases, book expenses for college-bound young men and women.
- Support for Locks of Love: Last year, Past Master Kevin Cullen contributed to this organization, which creates wigs for children affected by cancer.
- Community Assistance: This year, we have outlined additional efforts to further support our local community through organized programs.
- Resource Officers of Royse City ISD: We donated to the Resource Officers of Royse City ISD to assist them in minting a challenge coin that will be handed to exceptional students.
- Aid to Retired Masons and Families: The lodge has aided retired Masons, their spouses, and widows through multiple avenues.
Fate Masonic Lodge’s enduring commitment to community service is reflected in the breadth and diversity of its initiatives. From supporting children’s health and education, to uplifting those facing serious illness, and assisting retired brethren and their families, the lodge’s actions speak to the heart of Freemasonry’s mission. By continually seeking new ways to give back and support those in need, Fate Masonic Lodge reaffirms its role as a positive and compassionate force within the communities of Fate and Royse City.
